Back in the days, there are lots of things that can make us intelligent even without the gadgets that we have today. One of these is the book, but beside that there are also different benefits that you can get just by reading. But what is a book? Basically this is a set of papers that contains a lot of printed work. Usually books are used for education and also for entertainment.

Reading Feeds the Mind

  

 Just like any parts of the human body, our brain needs some exercise and vitamins that we need. Have you ever experienced not eating within a day? Basically you will feel weak and inactive, that is because your body did not get the right nutrition it needs. Same with our brain, if you did not give it enough exercise you might regret it at the end. In this case you can read as an exercise for the brain. There are people who suffer from Alzheimer’s which makes you forget everything. Study shows that if you stay mentally stimulated it can slow or even prevent the process of Alzheimer’s. 



Improve Quality of Conversation 

Have you ever experienced having a conversation with a group? Well usually since you are in a group, the group tends to talk about different things and different topics. You can notice that there are some people who can’t cope up with the conversation because they lack knowledge about the topic. Sometimes they call them the “out-of- placed”, well basically because they don’t know what you are talking about. Reading can help you with this because reading can give you a lot of new knowledge which can widen your understanding about different things. 


Increase Vocabulary 

What is a vocabulary? Basically these are a set of words within a language that a person is familiar with. Usually this develops with age and even as you grow up your vocabulary is continuously growing too. But how can you improve your vocabulary? The best way is by reading books and other reading material. You can notice that when reading, you tend to come across some words that you are unfamiliar with. Usually most people are looking for the meaning of the word to understand the sentence, that way you are also improving your vocabulary. 


Stress Reduction 

Most people are experiencing high levels of stress because of different reasons. This can be because of the work, in school, family problems and many more. This is only normal, but most people are doing different things to enjoy and reduce their stress level. Reading books can be a good thing to do to reduce stress levels because most people find this a very interesting and fun way to do.
